City Board meets in Special Session

The Humboldt City Board met in special session on Monday, July 18^th, 2005. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Allen Schmeichel at 5:55 p.m. Trustees present were Larry Skari and Theresa Muth.

A new cash register for the Municipal Bar was discussed.

S&S Grocery has requested to use the bars popcorn machine for their grand opening.

Ordinance 08.01.01.A Utility Deposit and Refunding was submitted for the first reading.

A motion was made by Skari and seconded by Muth to approve the first reading of Ordinance 08.01.01.A. The motion carried. The seconded reading will be at the next regular meeting on August 8^th.

The addition to the maintenance building was discussed. A motion was made by Schmeichel and seconded by Muth to advertise for bids for the addition and set up a contractors meeting. The motion carried.

The problems at the Community Center during the Stofferahn dance were discussed. A motion was made by Skari and seconded by Muth to refund ½ of the rental fee to Pat and Tabitha Stofferahn. The motion carried.

A motion was made by Skari and seconded by Muth to adjourn the meeting at 6:10 p.m. The motion carried.
