Natural Gas Board
Minutes
The Humboldt Natural Gas Board met in special session on Thursday, January 12th,
2006. The meeting was called
to order by Chairman Jim Jarding at 6:55
p.m. Members present were
Harvey Shumaker and Ritchy Griepp.
Members absent were Kira Schmeichel and Lynn Froke.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss Operator
Qualification Training and locking in gas prices.
Terry Larson from Mitchell Votech stopped in on Monday, January 9th, 2006
to submit a proposal to perform the necessary Operator Qualification Training
for the Humboldt Employees and the fire department. The cost for the training is $500 per person
per year, not including the fire department and $550.00 per day or $75.00 per hour
which ever is less. The daily and hourly
fee will be split between all four of the Cities with natural gas. The total amount for training will be less in
the long run than that of MMUA Training.
A motion was by Shumaker and seconded by Griepp to approve the Training
with Mitchell Votech. The motion
carried.
Jeff McKinney was in contact with the finance officer
regarding locking in a portion of the February thru April 2006 gas. It was the consensus of the board to wait
until next week.
With no further business, a motion was made by Shumaker and
seconded by Griepp to adjourn the meeting at 7:05 p.m. The
motion carried.
